Sat in a coffeehouse today, wondering...

Why are there only a few comfy armchairs/sofas for people to fight over, with all the rest being hard-backed chairs? Why not just make all the chairs... Comfy ones?

Just a random response - if you reversed the number then do you think that the hard-backed chairs would be the ones we fight over?

I've always wondered that too.
Strange isn't it? It's one of those things I puzzle over when some group of harpies has snagged the sofa in Starbucks! Lol

Yeah I always wondered it too. My local has two sofas and the rest hard backed. I tell you, theres hell on if someone else has nabbed my sofa when I go in!!

I just don't get the coffeehouse thing at all.

Why would anyone want to sit in Starbucks with a skinny latte mocha wotsit when you could be sat outside a pub with an ice cold beer and a packet of dry roasted peanuts instead?!

I've always liked the coffee-house thing. I mean don't get me wrong, I like a cold beer as much as the next person, but cafeene is such a major part of my job, my mantra on patrol tends to be "Coffee, white, one."
